Psychology can be a very interesting subject to people for many reasons. Some people find it fascinating because it has all to do with the human brain, thoughts and emotions. Others like it because they can learn more about different people and why they do what they do, or how to help them with their problems. Psychology is the science of human behavior and mental processes. Having a degree in this particular field can lead to many different jobs because there are so many different areas for this subject. Someone with this type of major can look forward to becoming a therapist, a criminal analyst, a social worker, and many more careers. If you are hoping to get a degree in psychology, you will probably be in it for the long haul.

Most companies prefer to hire someone with at least a master’s degree or a doctoral degree. However, with a bachelor’s degree, you can still look for jobs in community or public relations, advertising and marketing research, teaching, retail and sales just to name a few. If you do decide to go and get your master’s or doctoral degree, you may want to look at becoming a clinical psychologist, a counselor, or a social worker. Perhaps you would like to work within the education and school system; you could become a school counselor, school psychologist, or an educational psychologist.
